Hawk

A beautiful hawk sitting and waiting for prey on our old shed.  Please catch a squirrel and not one of our cats.  I really have a love/fear relationship with these amazing birds.

Too Wet

No work today with yesterday's rain.  The Farmer and Papa went shopping on black Friday.  I stayed home to knit and decorate.   The world really is upside down.

Milo Half Cut

The field in front of our house received a really bad haircut when a big swatch was cut and then the combines left the rest because it was still to green.

Petunias

These petunias reseeded themselves and now look like this....

It won't be long and these will burn up from the heat.  Soon I will replace them with zinnias which will make it through the summer.

Foggy Morning & Potato Prints

A rare foggy morning as a result of yesterday's rainfall.  Loving the rain since it has saved us the cost of another irrigation on the wheat.

We are using World Of Adventure by Dorian Holt in our homeschooling and after studying printing during the Renaissance we tried making prints using potatoes.  TT's turned out great, Boo's were pretty good and mine were pathetic.  It was fun though. 

Caboodle enjoyed coloring with her new color wonder markers - she says they taste OK too.

Had a date with The Farmer  - we went to vote together.  We are a house divided as we are members of opposing political parties.  But the important thing is that all those who have died and sacrificed so we could have the right to vote did not do so in vain.  The least we can do is make an informed decision and get out to vote.  As a bit of a political junkie I am loving all the interesting goings on in both parties.
