The Farmer was given his Grandfather's journal/calendars beginning from 1955. These have a record of the farm we live on now. I am going to start entering the entries here on the day they were written 53 years ago. Not every day has an entry and they begin on March 7 so in this post I am going to do a bit of catch up.

Went to Nogales and bought 119 Mexican steers from M. Robles. Average 418 pounds - Total weight 49850 pounds.

Went to Douglas and bought 200 head good quality Mexican steeers from M. Robles - average 588.8 pounds crossing wieghts.
Crossing wts - 117,760 pounds = $22454.82
Ridgeway trucks from Douglas = $509.85
